The Inca Trail
The Inca Trail is considered the best hiking route in Peru and one of the best in the entire world. A part of this route was the one that connected Cusco with Machu Picchu.
Today there are 39 kilometers of these roads enabled by the Peruvian State for the famous route of the 'Inca Trail', from km 89 of the railway to Aguas Calientes to Intipunku, the ancient gateway to Machu Picchu used by the Incas. The route can only be done with an authorized tour which includes camping, a team of porters, a team of cooks, a tour guide, tickets and more.
